Panama Big Game Sport Fishing Report February 2007

The first three weeks were not as strong as January, water temperature was up to 87 but we got plenty of sailfish, mullet snapper, cubera snapper, dorado and 4 out of 5 groups got marlins. 5 blacks total but had to work hard for all. The last week really got going with the water temperature back to 84. Yellow fin tuna were in with a lot of smaller fish but got two over 200 lbs. Sailfish still good and the last group added 1 blue marlin plus concentrated on catching inshore for 2 days and had good catches of mullet snapper, cubera snapper, all kind of jacks and double digit sierra mackerel. So all looks good heading into March. - Captain Lee Campbell

Capt. Lee, I can't thank you guys enough for an absolutely incredible trip. I've probably told the "Panama Fishing Story" a 100 times and never get bored repeating myself.

January 2007 Fishing Report Panama Big Game Fishing Club

January was a great month with 4 out of five groups catching Marlin. 6 blue marlin, 3 black marlin a lot of sailfish most over 100 lb., dorado, mullet snapper and cubrea snapper and a few wahoo but they are finishing up. Capt. Lee Campbell

Dear Lee, Bob, and Bill, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for such a wonderful fishing trip you provided for us this last week! Everyone in the group had a fantastic time. You really take that extra step to make your guests feel welcome and at home. I surely will spread the word about your lodge to anyone heading in that direction. Lee, I can't tell you how good the food was, (oh yeah, the Bloody Marys on the dock when we arrived were not bad either!) Bill, I look forward to getting to Miami and pay a visit to your restaurant.
